Privacy Policy

Veteran Compass is built to work without asking you to create an account or hand over personal information. This page explains what that means in practice.

What we do not collect

  • No account, name, email address, phone number, Social Security number, or VA file number is needed to use the site.
  • The Benefit Finder runs in your browser. The answers you choose (such as state or disability rating range) are used to sort the list on your screen and are not sent to us or stored.
  • We do not sell personal information, and we do not run advertising trackers on the benefit pages.

What happens when you use the site

  • Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep routine server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and reliability.
  • The housing search asks our server for a list of counties in the state you pick. That request contains only the state.
  • If you send feedback with the Send button on the suggestion form, your message (only what you type) goes through a form service called Web3Forms to our email inbox. Their privacy policy applies to that message.
  • If you use a link to suggest a missing area, a missing benefit, or to report a problem, it opens your own email app with a draft message. Nothing is sent until you send it, and we receive only what you put in that email.
  • Links to official sources and other organizations take you to websites we do not control. Their privacy practices apply there.

Partners and administrators

Organizations that ask to be listed may give us business contact details, which we keep to manage the listing. That information is limited to authorized administrators and is not shown publicly without the organization's agreement.

Analytics and changes

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages help people most. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and is not used to identify you. We may revise this policy as the site grows; the date above shows the latest version.
