Battle Buddy Beacon

Find the people you served with. List your units. When someone else lists the same unit, you both get a Beacon alert.

Accounts are not open yet. This page shows how it will work so you can try the idea and tell us what you think.

How it works

  1. Make a free account

Use a first name or a nickname. You choose what to share.

  2. List the units you served in

Add your unit, ship, squadron, or base and the years you were there.

  3. Get a Beacon alert

When someone else lists the same unit, you both get a notice and can choose to say hello.

Try the preview

Type a unit and add it to your list. This is a demonstration only. Nothing you type here is saved, sent, or shared.

Built to protect you

Reconnecting should never put a veteran at risk. These are the protections we are building in before accounts open.

  • Opt-in only. Nobody is matched unless they choose to be.
  • First name or nickname only. No real names, phone numbers, or email addresses are shown.
  • Messages stay inside Veteran Compass, so your email is never exposed.
  • Delete your account and everything you entered at any time.
  • Report and block tools on every profile.
  • Adults only, with checks designed to stop fake accounts and scammers.

Want to know when it opens?

Send us a note and we will tell you when Battle Buddy Beacon opens. Your email is used only for that.
